F.A.Q.
What is the cost?
Complete packages start at $395.Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes, for more information about mini sessions please call me at 718.884.2971.Are there any additional costs?
Not if you live in Manhattan or the Bronx and have no more than 3 pets. The exception is a litter. Otherwise, it will be $25 for each additional animal; and train, bus and/or taxi charges for locations outside Manhattan or the Bronx. How do I go about booking a session with you?
Scroll over to Book a Session to choose what you’d like. Sessions are usually held on weekends. Then give me a call to tell me about your pet(s) so that we can firm up details. Can you come to my home for a photo session?
Yes. For indoor sessions, I bring my portable studio (lights and backdrops) to the pet’s location because most animals are happier and more relaxed at home. And that shows in the pictures. All the indoor images on this website were taken at the pet’s home. How do I prepare my pet for a session?
If your pet requires professional grooming, have him groomed a day or so before the session. At the session, have whatever gets his attention at hand: toys, food, and/ or squeakers. For indoor sessions, make sure your pet is comfortable with flash. I had to cancel one indoor shoot after I learned that Fido was scared stiff by thunderstorms and, by association, even on-camera flash. Instead, we orchestrated a lovely outdoor session with a variety of locations. How long do sessions last? Do you have a cutoff time?
The average session lasts from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. There’s no timer ticking away because each pet is an individual. Some are born hams and others just need more time to adjust to an unfamiliar situation.I’d like to be photographed with my dog for a few pictures. Will that cost extra?
You are welcome to pose with your pet for no additional charge.I have 2 dogs, 1 cat and a rabbit. Can you do a group portrait?
Hmm...that depends on how well they’re trained and whether they enjoy snuggling up to each other. If you can persuade a friend to assist with wrangling, that would help. I have lots of patience and I’ll do my best - but let’s leave that pose for last.
Who has the copyright for the photos you take of my pet?
My cat/dog is very shy and usually hides from visitors. Will that be a problem?
Probably not. Usually, shy pets will come out of hiding once they “sniff me out.”
I do. The copyright law states that the photographer owns the copyright to her photos.
